“Young Front” picketed Iranian Embassy in Minsk (Photo)

On June 25, “Young Front” activists came to the building of the Iranian embassy with a poster “Freedom to Iran!”

The young people expressed their solidarity with participants of rallies in Iran who took to streets in protest against rigging the elections results.

Youth activists unfurled a banner “Freedom to Iran!” and posters “Free Iran!” Militia officers and unknown people in mufti were watching the picket. They didn’t hinder to hold the picket and didn’t detained it participants.

The young people disperse after 15 minutes of the picket.

It should be reminded that protests demonstrations against opposition go on in Iran. They began in Tehran about two weeks ago, after results of the presidential elections of June 12 had been announced. According to the elections results, Ahmadinejad got 62.63% of the votes, his main challenger, Mir Hossein Mousavi gathered 33.75% of the votes. Mousavi accused the authorities of rigging the elections results.

On June 20, the eight day of the opposition protects against rigging the results of the presidential elections, the Iranian police used arms, water cannons, batons, and tear gas. Besides police, Basij militia took part in suppressing the rallies.

According to different sources, from 13 to 30 people were killed. Tehran hospitals reported about hundreds of people with gun, stab and incision wounds, poisoned with gas.
