Mass fingerprinting reached dead

In Hrodna region law enforcement personnel stepped up the work on fingerprinting males.

In the settlement of Karelichy even those who left abroad for work are checked as well, “Nasha Niva” informs.

Oddities have taken place too. On July 28 at 10.30 p.m. policemen entered one of the houses. In two families they asked about their sons. Policemen stated that the young people are suspected of participation in the blast on July 4, 2008 in Minsk. However, as it turned out, the both men died a few years ago.

As we have informed, large-scale illegal fingerprinting of male population of Belarus started after the blast in Minsk on July 2008. Citizens are invited to the military enlistment office and fingerprinted, they are sent summons to police. Besides, the Interior Ministry started fingerprinting of minors in specialised secondary educational establishments.
