The head of the Central Election Commission of Belarus hasn’t brought her dream to life– spending holidays in Paris.

Lidziya Yarmoshyna, still banned to enter the EU countries, visited the scenes of her youth – Kaliningrad, svabodaby.net reports. Lidziya Yarmoshyna graduated from the law faculty of Kaliningrad State University.

The head of the Belarusian CEC spent the rest part of her holidays in Minsk.

Lidziya Yarmoshyna said in September last year she hoped to go on holidays to Paris. She told in an interview to Euroradio that she had go tired of Turkey and Egypt and she was looking forward to visiting Europe.

“I am afraid to suppose this happiness is possible, but if it is true, I will be able to choose a good trip next year,” Yarmoshyna said.

The CEC head told where she would like to go and what she would choose.

“It is certainly Paris, certainly Venice and certainly Spain, somewhere in autumn. I dream about it. I am an educated person, I am interested in museums, so visiting museums would be a main purpose. In general, I think the main thing in any place is its spirit. I will probably walk around the city, sit in a cafe, with book A Moveable Feast by Hemingway, who wrote it about Paris, that will help to get into the spirit of this city,” Yarmoshyna said.

We remind that all electoral campaigns in Belarus under Alyaksandr Lukashenka’s rule were recognized unfree and unfair by the international community. CEC head Lidziya Yarmoshyna was banned to enter the EU countries and the United States for rigging election results.
