The manuscript was seized from the flat of the young activist during a search.
As informed by “Nasha Niva”, it happened on September 6. On this day the co-chairman of the “Belarusian Christian Democracy” party gave the manuscript to the secretary of the party, Dzyanis Sadouski, to make a Xerox copy of the text.
Sadouski gave more than 700 pages of the novel to his friend. In the flat rented by Sadouski’s friend, a search was held.
It was made by policemen of the Central district of Minsk with the presence of the KGB officers, the owner of the flat was given only a search report, but the list of seized articles hasn’t been given to him.
“I am shocked,” Sevyarynets said. “I never met such situations before. It was a book about
Belarus with a working title “Heart of light”. And now secret service officers will be our first readers”.
Sevyarynets hopes to get back the novel. He has already sent a complaint to the police department and the prosecutor’s office of the Central district.
