Lithuanian Prime Minister and Foreign Minister met with Belarusian oppositionists

Representatives of Belarusian opposition are taking part in an international discussion in Lithuanian Seimas dedicated to the International Democracy Day celebrated on September 15.
As Radio Svaboda informs, today morning the leader of the United Civil party Anatol Lyabedzka, co-chairman of the Belarusian Christian Democracy party Paval Sevyarynets and a former political prisoner Alyaksandr Kazulin met with Lithuania's Minister of Foreign Affairs Vygaudas Ušackas.
In the talk with the head of the Lithuanian diplomatic ministry, the politician noted that there are still political prisoners in Belarus, and that the date of Alyaksandr Lukashenka’s visit to Lithuania coincides with the Day of Belarusian Solidarity and the 10th anniversary of the forcible abduction and murder of Vice Speaker of the Supreme Soviet of Belarus Viktar Hanchar and a businessman, public leader Anatol Krasouski.
The discussion with the participation of the EU countries and Russia is dedicated to the Community of Democracies. Lithuania is chairing this international forum after Portugal. The discussion in the Seimas was opened and welcomed by Lithuanian Prime Minister Andrius Kubilius. A meeting with Belarusian oppositionists is on his agenda today.
