Russian planes bomb Belarusian land (Video)

Russian pilots have performed air-to-ground gunnery and carried out landing operation in Abuz-Lyasnouski firing range and training centre.

Interfax agency has been informed about that by the joint press-centre of Zapad-2009 (West-2009) exercises.

“Pilots of the army air force and their Belarusian colleagues studied peculiarities of missions’ pursuits related to attacking different training targets, a scheme of tactical launching positions’ fire suppression, and landing from Mi-8 helicopters,” the press-service informed.

It has been also noted by them, that crews of Su-27 of Russian Air Force trained elements of air fighting.

We remind that the drills involve about 12,600 service personnel. 5,000-6,000 troops from Russia entered Belarus, which has never happened before.

The exercise will use 63 aircraft, 40 helicopters, around 470 armored fighting vehicles, 228 tanks, 234 self-propelled and towed artillery units, mortars and multiple launch rocket systems.

One of the aims of the exercises is armed conflicts liquidation. However, the democratic forces of Belarus are convinced that the exercises pose a threat to independence of Belarus.
