Authorities mobilized teachers and kindergarten educators to meet Patriarch Kirill

As www.charter97.org learnt, a quota existed: 2 persons from each school and kindergarten of Minsk were to come to a meeting with the head of the Russian Orthodox church.

Undoubtedly, Kirill is a very influential and respected person, but it is known that church is divided from the state in multi-denominational Belarus. It is not clear why state employees were sent to the meeting with the head of the Russian Orthodox Church in their working time. Maybe the authorities were to inform about the place and time of the meeting better, to have no problems with attendance? We think the Patriarch himself would not be happy about such a zeal.
