More than a week ago the site “Belarusian Partisan” launched a special project devoted to the Presidential campaign -2010 – “Election. Partisan”.

I do not want to indulge in boring discussion of advantages and disadvantages of the project – there is no time left for it.

I pay your attention to the major peculiarity of the special project: a possibility to vote for one or another contender. Of course, the system is not perfect. The first days we underwent the invasion of bastards and idiots who raised ratings of some contenders. After the insistent negotiations with the headquarters of these contenders, they stopped hampering us or do it more carefully. Thank them for it. We continue to track attentively every voice, every IP-address in order to minimize the repetition of such excesses. Believe me, it is an infernal labour, people stare at glimmering screens days and nights to achieve at least minimum objectivity during voting.

More than 5 000 people have already voted. Of course, electronic voting is relative, it is not representative. We all understand and do not suggest making far-reaching conclusions. But it helps understanding of some moments.

First. Internet is against Lukashenka. Extremely few are voting for him. Internet, i.e. advanced audience ignores the President of the country. That is significant.

Second. Obvious outsiders remain the same in the virtual world. As we did not know contenders with surnames Tsyareschanka, Kulikou, Ivanou so we did not vote for them. They are contenders-phantoms. These are bogus figures, blank spaces. The election for them – is a way to occupy their free time.

Third. Non-popularity of the leader of once the most disciplined and numerous party - BNF is significant. One is not voting for Ryhor Kostuseu. He gathered even fewer voices than Statkevich and Mikhalevich. It is the evidence of complete crises of BNF, impropriety of their present political and election strategy.

Forth. There is a group of politicians - Kostuseu, Mikhalevich, Statkevich, Hlushakou whose chances in the present presidential campaign are trifling. Even if they gather the number of voices necessary for the registration, they have no chances to win at the election. The participation of these politicians in the campaign – is a waste of time and money. They pursued their goals, one can understand them. Some of them needed money for the future, some needed a line in their biography, and some wanted to entertain their self-esteem. But why should we play these games, why should we be extras on someone else's celebration of life? It would be better to spend these powers for the support of more perspective candidates, thus their positions would look more impressive and would make at least a psychological pressure on the authority.

But human meanness and short-sightedness impedes Belarusians to unite themselves for the sake of really high goals.

Fifth. A group of three opposition leaders has been determined: Sannikov, Nyaklyaeu, Ramanchuk. At least among the readers of “Belarusian Partisan”. The official registration of the candidates will take place in the Central Election Commission in two weeks. We will see, whether they will be able to overcome their ambitions and set out as a united force.
