President of Russia Medveded post a massage on Twitter last night about hisattitude towards Belarusian dictator Lukashenka.
Dmitry Medvedev replied to his Belarusian follower, who asked about Medvedev’s attitude towards the president of Belarus and the upcoming presidential election.
“This question is very interesting to us, the Belarusians,” Twitter user dashystik wrote, Interfax-Zapad news agency informs.
Dmitry Medvedev replied to the question in early hours of Thursday.
“I respect your election as deeply as possible,” the Russian President wrote.
Medvedev chose not to speak about Alyaksandr Lukashenka and referred to his previous remarks: “As to your president, I’ve already said everything.” The head of state posted a link to the post on his video blog of October 3, where he spoke about relations with Belarus.
In his vide address Medvedev expressed a hope that “this senseless period of tension is certain to come to an end”.
Medvedev also said in his address: “Lukashenka goes far beyond not only diplomatic protocol but also basic human decency.” He noted: “A flood of accusations and abuse has been directed against Russia and its leadership. Mr Lukashenko’s entire election campaign is based on that.” Medvedev stressed: “Such conduct is dishonest, and partners do not behave like this. And, of course, we will bear this in mind when building relations with the current President of Belarus.”
