Belarusian authorities Austrian investors caught trap in the same office in Vienna

The authorities continue to “modernize” the economy actively by investments to sports and entertainment centres.

As informed by the press-secretary of the Sports and Tourism Ministry Vitaly Syamashka, an Austrian company Swiss Town Consult AG plans to enliven Minsk by bowling alleys, fitness centers, swimming pools and little hotel complexes, and to modernize sports centres and bases situated at the outskirts of Minsk, including the equestrian centre in Ratamka, afn.by writes.

Syamashka specified that in the near future the investor plans to open its branch in Belarus, and after that it will start its work at the Belarusian market.

However, in this case not the sphere of future investments of the new investor from Austria causes the greatest interest, but an answer to the question “What kind of company an Austrian company Swiss Town Consult AG is?”

Search on the web gives a website of a Swiss company компании Swiss Town Consult AG (Zurich), the main branch of which is architectural design (developer). It is not possible to find out anything more, as the entire website is an online business card only. Additional efforts helped to find information that the Swiss company was registered in 2002 with a statutory fund of 100 Swiss francs.

However, the Sports Ministry meant an Austrian company. The search leaded to Vienna, or rather to one of the streets which is well-known to Belarusian officials: Wallnerstrasse, 3 (there was no other information about the Austrian Swiss Town Consult AG). This address is familiar as one more large Austrian investor, Avonside Holdings GmbH, which is to create a system of photo- and videofixation of speed limit violations registered in Wallnerstrasse, 3 as well.

There is an impression that any Belarusian who would get into this office building in the centre of Vienna in working hours would feel at home.

It is noteworthy that from the first mentioning of Avonside Holdings GmbH in the Belarusian press, the online business card (minimal information) about this company disappeared from the two catalogues on the web.
