Syarhei Kalyakin: Belarus to face electoral fraud

Members of precinct commissions sign two sets of ballots, the politician said.
As said by Syarhei Kalyakin, a coordinator of For Free Elections campaign, there’s information regarding preparing rigging the election results, BelaPAN reports.
“The Central Election Commission declined our proposal that every commission member should sign ballots. Today, ballots are signed only by the privileged commission members, but we have information that they sign two set of ballots: one is filled by voters and the other one is filled by commission members with the necessary results,” Kalyakin said.
According to him, the Central Election Commission has been informed about this today.
“The position of the Central Election Commission is that observers do not have access to vote count procedure. It demonstrates that our suspicions have grounds. It means that it’s the true information that the victory of Lukashenka will first depend on the ballots with necessary data prepared beforehand,” Kalyakin stressed.
According to him, there are no legal obstacles that could hinder organizing the due observation process. “What we need is political will,” the human rights activist said.
