The presidential candidate representing the United Civil Party called in his speech on TV to restrain form early voting and vote on the election day.

He repeated the messages of his election programme. In particular, the candidate thinks a constitutional reform is needed. “President will be elected for not more than two terms of four years each. The parliament should form the government. The parliament should also control the president. Of course, we need independent court,” Ramanchuk stressed.

Closing his speech, Ramanchuk called on people to restrain from early voting and vote on the election day. He also called to gather at the central square in Minsk at 8:00 on December 19. “Many thousands of people will come to the square. It will be like a fest. You should come, too. Bring along sandwiches and thermoses with hot tea. Take along your mother- and father-in-law, your friends to square. There will be a lot of people. We will wait what the Central Election Commission will tell us,” Ramanchuk said.

According to him, none of the candidates is able to win in the first tour of the election by obtaining 50% of the votes. “We need the second tour. I don’t know who will run in it. But we will come to the square to demand justice, to demand honest election,” Ramanchuk said.
