Some of co-chairmen of the Belarusian Christian Democracy Party haven’t even been allowed to attend the session of the court.
The Supreme Court dismissed the suit of the Belarusian Christian Democratic Party founders. Judge Valyantsina Kulik announced that the decision of the Justice Ministry about non-registration of the party was legal, Radio Svaboda informs.
The Justice Ministry stated that the party hadn’t been registered as according to the results of questioning the founders of the Belarusian Christian Democracy Party allegedly proofs were found that the procedure of nomination of the congress’ delegates had been violated: some of the founders of the party were imprecise when naming the number of activists who were present at regional meetings for nomination of candidates.
Commenting on the verdict, Paval Sevyarynets, Co-Chairman of the organizing committee for creation of the Belarusian Christian Democracy Party, has stated that founders can possibly gather for one more, a third foundation meeting. It can take place in April-May.
Representatives of Embassies of the US and Germany were present in the court room. Co-chairmen of the BCD were indignant as they were not allowed to attend the session of the court, though they were not late, but they had come two minutes before the beginning.
