Belsat journalist died a tragic death in Mahilyou

An independent journalist from Mahilyou Vadzim Arshynski died in hospital on February 18. An entrance roof overhang of his house porch collapsed on him.

The tragedy happened on Thursday, February 18 at about noon, when Vadzim Arshynski returned home from another day of shooting, Nasha Niva informs.

The house in which Arshynski’s family lives, I on repairs, so special wooden covering is made over the porch. In the moment when the journalist stepped under the covering, a mass of broken natural stone and snow fell on him.

The entrance roof overhang broke down and collapsed on the cameraman of Belsat TV channel. Builders called in an ambulance, but it was too late. Vadzim Arshynski’s wife received a call from the hospital and was told that he had died. Vadzim Arshynski was 49. He had two sons.
