Lukashenka flown off to Kyiv for Yanukovych’ inauguration

On February 24 Alyaksandr Lukashenka has gone to Ukraine on a working visit.
The BelaPAN agency has informed about that with a reference to the press-service of the president.
The press-service ahs informed that he “will attend the inauguration ceremony for the President-elect of Ukraine, Viktor Yanukovych, and hold a number of international meetings.”
Earlier the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine informed about Lukashenka’s participation in the inauguration ceremony on February 25, however as reported by a press-service representative, his arrival had been expected in the morning.
As it had been informed, 11 heads of states are expected to take part in the ceremony, 4 heads of international organisations, more than 15 ministers of foreign affairs and 4 heads of parliaments of different countries. Most of the guests are to arrive to Kyiv today morning.
At the moment the Foreign Affairs Ministry does not have confirmation of participation of Russian president Dmitry Medvedev in the swearing in of the newly elected Ukrainian president. The Kremlin considers a possibility of participation in the ceremony of the head of the presidential administration Sergei Naryshkin.
