Tsimafei Dranchuk taken to hospital

The oppositionist was taken to hospital after he had been detained by militia ahead of a rally on Freedom Day.

Young Belarus activists Tsimafei Dranchuk, detained by militia in Minsk on March 25, had a hypertensive crisis in the Pershamaiski district militia department in the evening, BelaPAN reports.

Dranchuk was guarded to Minsk hospital #3. Young Belarus activist Anton Rusin, detained with Dranchuk, was fined for “disorderly conduct” on March 25.

The Pershamaiski district court fined the oppositionist 25 basic units (875,000 rubles).

Drancuk and Rusin were detained in Independence Avenue near Chaluskintseu Park when they were taking photo of the oppositionists hanging out national white-red-white flags.
