Leaflets for democratic activsts not printed

Mozyr state printing plant "Kolor" refused to print campaign leaflets for the activist of the Belarusian Popular Front party Uladzimer Tselyapun.

"The director of an enterprise Syarhei Dzilyuk has not explained the reason of denial," said the candidate for deputy of Homel regional council Uladzimer Tselyapun in an interview to Radio Svaboda. "That is why I demanded a letter of reply. I think that the director has taken upon himslef functions of a censor, he propably didn't like the text of my leaflets".

Tselyapun ordered 600 posters and 2000 leaflets. The keynote of his campaign was a call: "Have no fear and do not belittle yourself". There are also words: "They are brave while we a lying prone. When we raise the head, they are nervous".

Uladzimer Tselyapun filed a complint to the precinct commission for the denial of "Kolor" to print campaign materials. Other printing houses in Mozyr do not dare to publish leaflets of candidates, they fear to lose their licences.
