Iranian businessmen to build village at Zaslavl reservoir

The investors plan to build tourist entertainment complex Persepolis, which will become “the most beautiful tourist facility in Eastern Europe”.

The Iranian businessmen intend to construct an orient-style village on the shore of Zaslavl Reservoir, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Belarus Seyyed Abdollah Hosseini said at a meeting in the Minsk region executive committee, BelTA reports.

A tourist and entertainment complex Persepolis is to become a masterpiece of architecture, the most beautiful tourist facility not only in Belarus, but in all Eastern Europe. The investment project was discussed during a visit of a delegation of the Tehran Province to Belarus last year.

As Alyaksandr Turchyn, the chairman of the economy committee of the Minsk region executive committee, explained to journalists, the preliminary cost of the investment project is about $1 billion. All necessary negotiations and the terms of delivering the project are to be finalized by the end of June.

Head of the Minsk region executive committee Barys Batura said the trade and economic cooperation between Belarus and Iran is vigorously developing thanks to regular meetings of the rulers of the two countries.
