The Kyrgyz authorities sent Belarus the second request for extradition of the escaped dictator.

This was told today by Kyrgyzstan’s security chief Keneshbek Duishebayev.

“In spite of everything, Kyrgyzstan will demand Belarus to extradite Kurmanbek Bakiyev,” 24kg news agency quotes the security chief.

“If we don’t have a positive response this time, we won’t give, but continue attacking Belarus to gain the desired result,” Duishebayev said.

Kurmanbek Bakiyev has stayed in Belarus since April 19. It was a personal decision of Alyaksandr Lukashenka to give him political shelter. It caused protest of the new government of Kyrgyzstan and the families of the killed protesters, at whom Bakiyev ordered to open fire. Pickets are held near the Embassy of Belarus in Bishkek constantly. The new government of Kyrgyzstan demands to extradite Bakiyev to his country, however the Belarusian authorities refuse to do that.

It is known that Bakiyev, one of his unofficial wives and children stay in Lukashenka’s residence, in Drazdy or in Berezinski Reserve.

The General Prosecutor’s Office of Belarus took a decision not to extradite Kurmanbek Bakiyev to Kyrgyzstan
