Food prices grow (Table)

Over half a year potatoes, sugar and fruits have gone up most. Bread and alcoholic beverages have risen in price to the least degree.
In H1 2010 prices for foodstuffs in Belarus as compared to December 2009 have gone up by 4.1%, Interfax was said by the National Statistics Committee.
Since July 16 prices for a number of foodstuffs have gone up again. Vodka, milk, kefir, sour cream and farmer cheese and beef have gone up by 3%, pork by 2%. The official explanation is that additional financial means are needed to compensate for livestock products manufacturing expenses to agricultural industry. Bread and bakery products have gone up as well, by average 1.5%.
