Azaronak ready to do a film as an answer to “Godbatka”

It has been stated by the author of slanderous films about Belarusian opposition in “Narodnaya Volya newspaper.

As “Narodnaya Volya” writes, more than 2 years ago Yury Azaronak was fired from the position of the deputy chairman of the National TV and Radio Company. Moreover, it was written in the presidential decree that Azaronak was fired from the position of the deputy chairman. Then many journalists supposed that the reason was alcohol addiction: Azaronak allegedly had heavy drinking session many times.

Today the former dedicated ideologist of the current regime is serving to different ideals. Now Yury Azaronak is a broadcasting director of an Orthodox TV program “A wellspring of soul” at Soyuz TC channel and at cable TV channel MediaSet TV in Minsk.

Despite of the dramatic change in the topics of his programs, Azaronak stated that he sees no fundamental difference in his work.

Sometimes Yury Azaronak’s soul craves something different. For instance, a film of Russian NTV channel “Godbatka” about the Belarusian president has created a great desire for him to be up to his old games again and return to political documentaries.

“I have not seen the entire film, but I have even started to flirt with an idea to make a film in response,” Yury Azaronak confessed. “To make a film about our president and name it “Godbatka” is wrong. Just imagine what is going on in Russia… Starting with privatization, when the nation’s property was snapped up. Two worlds exist there: the world of Russian people who live in poverty, and the world of people who had stolen the property created by the entire nation and who are buying yachts now. That’s where godfathers live! And to look for godfathers in Belarus – I am sorry! The levels of corruption in Belarus and Russia are incomparable, people are afraid to go out in the evening there. Gangsterism is flourishing there. And in our country you can go for a walk in the night to Gorky Park. That’s my response to the film “Godbatka”.

It is a statement in the spirit of old Azaronak, who is remembered to be an endless story on Belarusian TV screen, flinging mud at opposition and praising Lukashenka’s regime to high heaven. And now he has become an abstainer, you see, and ready for his old tricks. Well, such cadres seem to be in demand again. But will people take seriously tales by an odious nightingale called Azaronak?
