A memorandum of understanding between the human race and domestic and stray animals has been signed in the office of the informational company BelaPAN.
The sides were presented by the leader of “Tell the Truth!” civil campaign, a poet Uladzimir Nyaklyaeu and by Barsik the Cat. The oppositional politician signed the memorandum with a wide signature, and Barsik, who is illiterate, put a paw on it.
By the document the sides have make a commitment to bury in oblivion all the offences caused by one side to the other, and to turn over a new leaf in building their relations.
Having signed the memorandum, the sides have undertaken some commitments.
Thus, Uladzimir Nyaklyaeu will push for adoption of a law on animal protection; will devote energies in the cause of humanization of catching stray animals and their keeping; would invest efforts to building asylums and hotels for animals in the country, and also would make contribution to improvement of animal feed and decrease of costs for such goods.
In his turn, Barsik the Cat obliged to get across to other little friends of people the message about the humane mission of Uladzimir Nyaklyaeu.
“No matter what the result of this election would be, everything which has my signature on it will remain unbreakable,” Nyaklyaeu said, commenting on the document’s signing.
