Kosachev accuses Lukashenka of insinuations

The chairman of the Russian State Duma Committee on International Affairs made a harsh statement.

Konstantin Kosachev said Alyaksandr Lukashenka’s words about possible “Russian trace” in the attack on the Russian Embassy in Minsk “do not comply with a status of the head of state”.

“Let it lie on Mr Lukashenka’s conscience. I don’t think it would be correct to make any statements at this level until there are no grounds for it. Making insinuations and guessing what can have happened are acceptable for politicians and other people including journalists, but not for top executives,” he told in an interview to Interfax.

According to Kosachev, “many unfair words have recently been told By Lukashenka regarding Russia. As of now, the Russian authorities don’t allow these remarks to affect in some way the essence of the Belarusian-Russian relations.”

Kosachev urged the Russian authorities not to rise this “provocation” and the Belarusian authorities to secure not commenting on but full investigation of the incident.
