Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin visited the 23rd Moscow International Book Fair at All-Russian Exhibition Center.
The chairman of the Russian government got acquainted with latest books, gave autographs to dozens of visitors and promised to attend a session of the Russian Geographic Society.
As Russian NTV reports, “the PM made a stop at children’s literature stand and orthodox book stand. He could have made a couple of steps to see the Belarusian stand, but he didn’t.”
Such conduct of Vladimir Putin was surprising. It was the Day of Belarus at the fair. The Russian PM knew it for sure.
The 23d Moscow International Book Fair opened at pavilion 57 of the All-Russia Exhibition Center on September 1.
The Belarusian delegation consists of over 100 members – publishers, writers, poets, translators, playwrights, and critics.
Fifty six countries are represented at the Fair.
