Family taken to interrogation under gun

Oppositionist from Homel Kanstantsin Zhukouski went out on October 14and met officers of the Security Department armed with assault rifles.

They said Zhukouski must go with them to the Tsentralny district police department. In case of refusal, they would “insist”, they said. The oppositionist has his six-year daughter at home, Viasna human rights centre reports.

He could not leave her at home alone and had to take her to interrogation.

Policemen said they wanted to question Zhukouski about the incident in the court on October 11. We remind that policemen attacked the opposition activist in the court building and handcuffed him to a radiator. Earlier, riot police detained him and broke his leg. With his leg broken, he spent 15 days in the detention facility.
