Refinancing rate rose to 35% per year

Since October 14, the National Bank of Belarus raises the refinancing rate to 35% per annum.
The resolution on that was adopted on October 12 by the National Bank.
This decision is another step in progressive implementation of the general economic policy by the National Bank and the government, aimed at macroeconomic stabilization, reducing the pressure on the Belarusian ruble exchange rate and inflation," the press-service of the National Bank informs.
Last time a refinancing rate was raised on September 14, 2011 by 3 per cent per annum and reached 30% per annum.
