Tatsyana Sevyarynets has been warned against holding an unauthorized action on November 12.
An officer of the Kastrychnitski district police department said he agreed with the oppositionist that gatherings of people do not violate the administrative legislation. He said Syavyarynets had to give a written undertaking not to organize “unauthorized actions”. Radio ASvaboda reports.
The Vitsebsk coordinator of the organizing committee to create the BCD party says she received a phone call this morning from a man who introduced himself as senior lieutenant Kazyuchyts. Tatsyana says the same man drew up a report against her for the People’s Assembly on October 8, which he called an unauthorized street action.
He said the chief of the Kastrychnitski district police department ordered him to warn Tatsyana Sevyarynets against holding an unauthorized action on November 12.
“I did not sign a police report for gathering on October 8. I refused to give written undertaking. We promised people that we would hold a gathering on November 12 to tell them about the answers of the authorities to demands of participants of the People’s Assembly. Gatherings are not pickets and demonstrations. They are not regulated by the law on mass actions. By the way, Kazyuchyts said he agreed with me, but his chiefs wanted my signature,” Tatsyana Sevyarynets said.
Administrative reports for holding the People’s Assembly on October 8 were drawn up against Iryna Yaskevich, who was in charge of the event, and Tatsyana Sevyarynets, who was a secretary. Trial date for carrying out an unauthorized action has not been set yet.
