Anastasia Palazhanka, the Young Front deputy head, has been told she cannot leave the country.
As Palazhanka said to BelaPAN news agency, he was summoned to the Pershamaiski district police department on November 2. According to her, the police department chief “warned that I cannot travel abroad. I am a student of the European Humanities University and I need to go to Vilnius to take exams. I was offered to sign a written undertaking that I would not leave the country. I refused to sign it,” Palazhanka said.
According to her, the situation is “rather strange”, because there’s no court decision restricting her freedom of travel. “I was told that under a presidential decree, all people given suspended sentence cannot leave the country. They said the presidential decree has more power than the court decision. I talked to a lawyer, and he says the court decision has priority,” Palazhanka said.
Palazhanka also said that he had been fingerprinted again.
We remind that Anastasia Palazhanka was tried in the case of the so called “mass disorders” on December 19, 2010. She was given a year of suspended sentence.
