Tatsyana Sevyaryents, a coordinator of the Belarusian Christian Democracy party, received a summons to appear in the Kastrychnitski district court of Minsk.

She is to stand trial at 4:00 pm on November 30 for holding People’s Assembly on October 8.

As Tatsyana told the BCD press service, she was summoned as “a person who is brought to administrative responsibility under article 23.34” for organizing an unauthorized event, People’s Asembly. The trial will be conducted by judge Hrabouskaya.

“The report against me was re-written. The second version differs from the first one only by calling the event “People’s Assembly”. It reads that I “organized and held an unauthorized mass event, People’s Assembly,” for 30 minutes,” Tatsyana Sevyarynets says. “They just mixed up different laws. But our judges and law enforcement officers interpret the law as they want.”
