Alyaksandr Lukashenka goes to Russia on a working visit, in order to sell Beltransgaz and be given cheap gas as a sop.
On November 25 the ruler is to carry out negotiations with his Russian colleague Dmitry Medvedev. It is expected that issues of trade and economic cooperation of the two countries, prospects of interaction in integration associations, in fuel and energy sphere, and a number of other important issues of bilateral cooperation are to be the focus of attention, BelTA informs.
A. Lukashenka will also chair the summit of the so-called Supreme State Council of the “union state” of Belarus and Russia. The meeting will focus on 16 matters concerning economic, financial, cultural, political and social cooperation.
Following the summit the sides are expected to sign a package of agreements on the delivery of Russian natural gas to Belarus and other documents.
