This decision was adopted at the session of the National Committee of the United Civil Party.

The session was held on February 7 in Minsk headquarters of the United Civil party.

There were three questions on the agenda: the results of the election campaign, the situation in the party, and the near-term goals of the party.

Undoubtedly, discussion on the issue of further participation of the former presidential candidate and deputy chairman of the United Civil Party Yaraslau Ramanchuk in the life of the party, initiated by the UCP members, attracted the most interest.

The position of Ramanchuk was heard at the session as well. Generally, he has repeated the things he said before. The honorary chairman of the UCP Stanislau Bahdankevich, as well as other leaders of the United Civil Party, have expressed criticism of Yaraslau Ramanchuk’s action after December 19. However, making the final decision was postponed.

Meanwhile, Stanislau Bahdankevich offered to remove from office Andrei Dzmitryeu, the chairman of the UCP Commission on International Affairs. By the majority of votes this proposal was passed.

Yury Laurentsyeu was elected the new chairman of the UCP Commission on International Affairs.

At about 2.40 p.m. the vote of no confidence to Ramanchuk as the deputy chairman of the UCP was held. The vote took place two times. The first time it was offered to express confidence to him. No one has supported this proposal. And in the second voting, a vote of no confidence took place. The decision was passed by an overwhelming majority.

We remind that right after the events of December 19 in the state-run media the former presidential candidate Ramanchuk made libelous statements against the presidential candidate Andrei Sannikov and his wife Iryna Khali, incarcerated in the KGB jail. He also had a personal meeting with dictator Lukashenka.
