Shushkevich: Traitor and stool pigeon offered to democratize Belarus

The composition of the conference “How to democratize Belarus?” which is to take place in Poland, has shocked the Belarusian opposition.
Belsat TV channel was the media sponsor of the conference “How to democratize Belarus?” organized by the Polish Institute of Foreign Affairs (PISM) and the British Embassy in Poland. The meeting is scheduled for March 23 in Bristol Hotel in Warsaw. The composition of the conference has produced shock. They are Alyaksandr Milinkevich, Chairman of “For Freedom” movement, and Yaraslau Ramanchuk, a former presidential candidate.
The first leader of independent Belarus, Stanislau Shushkevich, has been asked by charter97.org to comment on the choice of the conference participants.
- I do not even want to talk about so-called “politicians” as Ramanchuk at all. He is a coward and traitor, not to mention he is an ignorant economist. Luckily for him, I hadn’t noticed he was traveling to Vilnius in the same carriage with me, otherwise I would spit in his face for certain. To betray everyone, including his leader Anatoly Lyabedzka, the leader of the party, to defame the presidential candidate Andrei Sannikov and his wife Iryna Khalip… They are in prison now, and this traitor is going around visiting conferences. He must spend the rest of his life repenting for what he has done!
I regret that the organizers have not realized whom they are dealing with. Milinkevich, who had destroyed the Belarusian Popular Front Party, and later destroyed the United Civil Party, acts as a “stool pigeon” of Lukashenka with his proposals to integrate into the dictatorship, with the only aim not to change anything in the country. How could such people be invited to discuss these serious matters? It is immoral and insulting for the Belarusian nation,” Stanislau Shushkevich said.
