Pronouncement of judgments to Statkevich and Us postponed

According to the official story, the sentences cannot be pronounced because of a sudden disease of the judge.
About an hour before the planned pronouncement of judgments, a representative of the court of Partyzanski district of Minsk put up a notice that “because of the judge’s sudden disease, pronouncement of the verdict is postponed to a different day.” It is written in the notice that participants of the trial are to be informed additionally of the new day and time of pronouncement of the judgment.
The presidential candidates Mikalai Statkevich and Dzmitry Us, and participants of the protest rally on December 19 staged against the rigged presidential election results, are charged of organizing and participating in the so-called mass riots.
The verdict is to be delivered by Judge Liudmila Hrachova. Prosecutor Kiryl Chubkavets asked to sentence Mikalai Statkevich to 8 years of imprisonment in a reinforced-security colony, a presidential candidate Dzmitry Us – to 7 years of imprisonment in a reinforced-security colony, participants of the protest rally on the Square Alyaksandr Klaskouski – to 8 years and 6 months of imprisonment in a reinforced-security colony, Alyaksandr Kvyatkevich – to 4 years in a reinforced-security colony, Andrei Paznyak – to 4 years of imprisonment in a reinforced-security colony, Dzmitry Bulanau – to 4 years of imprisonment in a reinforced-security colony, Artsyom Hrybkou – to 4 years of imprisonment and compulsory medical treatment for alcoholism.
