Judge in cases against Statkevich and Uss still ill

The Leninski district court of Minsk does not know when judge Lyudmila Hrachova can return to work and pronounce verdicts to Mikalai Statkevich and Dzmitry Uss.

Euroradio has learned it from a secretary of the judge, who suddenly fell ill.

“I cannot say even an approximate date, I do no lie. You can phone even every day and ask whether she appeared at work, I am not against. But I cannot say when she comes. I simply do not know it. I cannot give even a rough guess when she comes,” the secretary said.

She noticed a possibility of changing the judge due to Lyudmila Hrchova’s illness was very slight.

We remind that pronouncing sentences to Mikalai Statkevich, Dzmitry Uss, Andrei Paznyak, Alyaksandr Klaskouski, Alyaksandr Kvyatkevich, Artsyom Hrybkou, and Dzmitry Bulanau was appointed for May 20. The court session was adjourned sine die due to the judge’s sudden illness, which was reported 30 minutes before the trial.
