Nyaklyaeu: “To be honest, politics is not quite my field”

Uladzimir Nyaklyaeu has received the Clay Veles award of the Free Writers Association.
The awarding ceremony took place not in Polatsk, as usual, but in Minsk, because Uladzimir Nyaklyaeu is banned from leaving the town, “Nasha Niva” reports.
Nyaklyaeu said he had not taken part in literary events for a long time – five-month custody and presidential campaign did not leave time to devote himself to literature.
“To be honest, politics is not quite my field. One needs to have different thinking. Even fundamental things look different in politics. I think I must share the award with minister Kulyashou. If his Almaz special squad had not beaten me at my head, I would not receive this award.
Nyaklyaeu said he would not give up both politics and literature.
“Poetry and politics are fundamental things. […] If I am elected president, I will sit at my table after retirement and tell to this Veles: Give me strength and inspiration to compose one more poem!”
