Lawyer Tamara Sidarenka disbarred

On 16 August, the Belarusian Ministry of Justice disbarred lawyer Mrs. Tamara Sidarenka, famous for defending former presidential candidates in so called “mass riot” trials.

On 17 August, Mrs. Sidarenka’s license was to be certified by Minsk Leninski District Legal Consultation Office. However, the lawyer was disbarred the previous day.

Earlier this year, Belarusian Ministry of Justice disbarred several other lawyers involved in the 19 December 2010 criminal case.
