Lukashenka lies low in Sochi

There is not a sound from the Belarusian dictator. His presence in Sochi is not felt in any way.

After the official visit to Qatar last week, Alyaksandr Lukashenka headed for Sochi, where he is to stay “for a short holiday”, as his press-service informed. Do Sochi dwellers notice the presence of the high-ranking guest?

“Radio Svaboda” contacted the reporter of the Russian service of the radio in Sochi, Gennady Shlyakhov. He told:

“As is usual in his practice (and he goes on holiday there for several years in a row, and even several times a year), Lukashenka’s presence is not noticed in Sochi in any way. He usually goes to Krasnaya Polyana, where Belarus has a branch of “Belarus” health resort (Sochi), something like a vacation retreat, and he stays there or stays in Sochi.

No special conditions for his passage through the streets organized for him, unlike Moscow guests, roads are not sealed off. The same happens this year. This time, like in previous years, we have minimum information, only official one, from the official website of the president of Belarus. In other words, Lukashenka had not come into sight this year yet.”

There is no official information about the lodgings of Alyaksandr Lukashenka and how long his holiday would last.

Lukashenka’s hush-hushed short-term holiday in a ski resort in Switzerland last year lasted 12 days.
