Student protest action in Minsk “Resist!” (Photo, video)

Students organized a flash mob in Minsk.

A group of masked people with drums marched down the street chanting “Don’t Surrender! Resist!” at 11:30 am on Tuesday.

Participants of the flash mob marched some tens of metres and scattered in the yards. No police officers were noticed nearby.

An Interfax.by correspondent managed to catch up a group of protesters in the yard and asked about aims of the action. “It was a protest action against the increased tuition fees and expelling students from universities for no reasons,” a participant of the flash mob said.

Protesters hid their faces behind bandanas. One of the protesters wore a mask of an Internet troll. They did not say if they represented a political organization or a public movement.

The flash mob attracted much attention of students of the Belarusian University of Informatics and Radioelectronics.
