Court to consider Sannikov’s complaint on January 30

On January 30 the court of Vitsebsk district is to investigate the complaint of Andrei Sannikov’s lawyers against actions of Vitsba-3 colony administration.

BelaPAN was informed about that by the wife of the presidential candidate Iryna Khalip.

The grounds for the complaint of the lawyers against actions of Vitsba-3 administration was absence of access to their client. For more than two and a half months the administration of the colony did not allow lawyers and family members seeing Sannikov. As said by Khalip, the chief of the colony Vitaly Agnistsikau explained it by some inspection, which was allegedly held in order to find out whether Sannikov is threatened by danger.

Earlier lawyers filed a complaint against actions of the colony administration at the Corrections Department of the Interior Ministry. In response to that they were said that the administration on the penal colony did not have information about necessity of rendering legal aid to Sannikov.
