Shake-up in Minsk city executive committee goes on

The first deputy chairman of the administration of the Maskouski district of Minsk has been accused of accepting a bribe.

The Belarusian investigation committee opened a criminal case against the first deputy chairman of the Maskouski district of Minsk over bribery (part 3 of article 430 of the Criminal Code), Interfax-Zapad news agency learned on Tuesday from the information and public relations department of the investigation committee.

“It was established the official repeatedly accepted bribes, including large-scale ones, from businessmen for assistance in solving problems within his competence,” the committee noted.

The committee also said the arrested official had charged on Monday with multiple counts of taking bribes.
