Moscow diggers arrested in Minsk

  • 6.01.2012, 12:42

Arrested just upon arrival in the Belarusian capital, they were given from 5 to 19 days of arrest.

Their arrest looks like revenge of the Belarusian law enforcement agencies.

As Russian new service (RNS) reminds, Russian diggers provoked scandal in Minsk some months ago. Popular blogger Vitaly Raskalau post a photo report “Forbidden Minsk” and shared how he had managed to enter secured Minsk metro tunnels.

This time Moscow diggers did not get into underground tunnels. They were detained in a hotel room and accused of disorderly conduct, RNS reports.

The names of two Russian girls, who were released after five days in custody, are Daria Ednakovsakya and Ekaterina Timoshkina. The rest diggers are still in the detention centre in Akrestsin Street. They refuse to meet with journalists, so names of other detainees remain unknown. Their total number is 14.
