The prosecutor’s office has not sent documents to the court for consideration of the case of Uladzimir Marozau, a disabled person.

At the same time it became known that doctors started to collect documents with the aim to send him for compulsory psychiatric examination.

The court of Pershamajski district of Minsk has postponed the trial at the suit of Uladzimir Marozau to the Prosecutor’s office of Minsk.

Marozau demands to open a criminal case against policemen who detained him during the silent protest on July 6 in Minsk and used submission hold. As a result Marozau fell unconscious and harm on his health was inflicted.

The prosecutor’s office of Pershamajski district of Minsk which checked the application of Uladzimir Marozau, has not found any violations in the actions of policemen and denied opening a criminal case.

“Today the court at my suit to the Prosecutor’s office was to start, however it turned out that they had not even sent necessary documents to the court. I think that it is deliberate temporizing of the process. It is notable that yesterday, on January 5, I was told by my district medical doctor that documents for my compulsory psychiatric examination are being collected. It means that when I have complaints against police and prosecutor’s office, I am allegedly mentally ill, am I? But I have not violated any laws, I simply use my rights of a citizen,” Marozau said to Radio Svaboda.

The claim of Uladzimir Marozau against the prosecutor’s office is to be considered by Judge Alena Ananich.
