Former prison superior: Stop mocking at Dashkevich!

Former head of the Ivatsevichi prison publicly addressed the head of the Mozyr penal colony.

The leader of “Young Front” Dzmitry Dashkevich is still in the lock-up in the Mozyr colony where he went on a hunger strike protesting against the pressure and religious humiliation. On 27 September Dashkevich’s fiancée Anastasiya Palazhanka said that the head of the colony Youry Zbarouski and other officials of the colony are involved in the pressure on the activist and they are threatening him with a rape. In two days former head of the Ivatsevichi prison Stanislau Khaladovich called Radio Svaboda and read his appeal to the head of the Mozyr colony:

“Mr Zbarouski Youry Bagdanavich, stop the mockery towards Dzmitry Dashkevich. Don’t get involved yourself and don’t get your subordinates involved in crimes. Remember, this regime is not everlasting and sooner or later you’ll have to be responsible for your deeds not only morally but also liable criminally. You are being addressed by a former head of Ivatsevichi prison, retired police captain Stanislau Khaladovich.”

On 28 September Stanislau Khaladovich send a telegram to the Mozyr colony with his words of support to Dzmitry Dashkevich.

They are still not commenting on the situation over the political prisoner Dzmitry Dashkevich in the Mozyr colony.

Dzmitry Dashkevich received an additional year of imprisonment for alleged prison violation and last week he was transferred from the colony in Glubokae to the one in Mozyr.
