BATE Borisov suffered the first defeat in the Champions’ League group stage.

On 23 October at the Minsk Dinamo stadium Viktar Gancharenka’s team lost to Spanish Velancia – 0:3 (Soldado, 45+1 penalty, 55, 69), BelaPAN reports.

The game’s statistics: shots 7:14 (first time – 5:3), shots on target 4:9 (3:3), corner kicks – 2:4 (1:2), free kicks – 15-11 (6:6), offsides 0:2 (0:1), throwings – 15:18 (10:13).

In the other game in the group F French LOSC lost to German Bayern with the score 0:1 (T. Muller, 20 penalty).

The group ranking: Valencia – 6 points (goal difference 6-2), BATE – 6 (6-5), Bayern – 6 (4-4), LOSC – 0 (1-6).

In the fourth round on 7 November BATE will play Valencia in Spain and Bayern will receive LOSC in Germany.
