Lukashenka cannot run in presidential elections

The question about Lukashenka's inability to run in the presidential elections should be raised during the next presidential campaign.
This statement was made in today's press conference by Vital Rymasheuski, the co-head of the organizing committee to create the Belarusian Christian Democracy party (BCD), BelaPAN news agency reports.
“The common strategy of the Belarusian opposition should be not the struggle for ourselves, but the struggle for free elections. The question of inability for Alyaksandr Lukashenka to run in the next presidential elections should be raised. I think most people don't want to see his name on a ballot paper, let alone to vote for him. The irreplaceable ruler during 25 years is derision. I hope the Belarusian authorities understand it,” Rymasheuski said.
He stressed a single opposition candidate for the presidential elections should be chosen by people, not by opposition leaders. “We stand against any behind-the-scene decisions,” Rymasheuski said.
“The Belarusian Christian democrats have not missed any political campaign since the party foundation. They were successful for us, taking into account the opportunities the party had,” Rymasheuski remarked.
He says the key question of the next election campaign will be not proposing a single opposition candidate, but election conditions.
