1 trillion rubles is expected to be taken out of shadow in Minsk in 2011-2015.
This task was set by the chairman of the Minsk city executive committee, Mikalai Ladutska, during today's sitting to discuss city budget. Ludutska ordered the appropriate departments to work out the action plan. The plan should be a public document, the mayor insists.
“There is shadow economy in the capital. This is proved by international financial organization. 1 trillion Belarusian rubles must be taken out of the shadow to the city budget,” BelTA news agency cites Ladutska.
The mayor of Minsk noticed a large number of sole proprietors and small firms in the capital. “The average wage in Minsk is almost 1 million higher than that in regions. Income of people is even higher if we take into account their unofficial incomes,” the chairman of the Minsk cite executive committee noted.
