Marek Migalski stands up for Pavel Vinahradau

The member of the European Parliament has sent an official notice to the European Commission regarding the arrest of an opposition activist.

The MEP informed the Commission Pavel Vinahradau, an activist of Tell the Truth civil campaign, was arrested for ten days allegedly for organizing “toys rally” near the building of the Minsk city executive committee on February 10, Euroradio reports.

Migalski stressed the Belarusian authorities toughen a wave of repression against civil activists and opposition representatives. He also said the people of Belarus are deprived of the right to the freedom of expression and participation in peaceful protest actions.
