Syarhei Skrabets: “Who need a disabled person in our country?”

Former political prisoner Syarhei Skrabets spent 18 months, his whole sentence, in prison.

He says he has the right to remark on applying for a pardon by Zmitser Bandarenka.

“Zmitser did the right thing by applying for a pardon. His health is very bad. Confinement conditions in prison are very tough, especially for those having problems with health. There are no doctors or good medicines.

Everyone can become a disabled person in prison. Not even after a year, but after a month. Here the matter in question is human life. Who needs a disabled person in our country? Even if he is a politician. No one needs,” Skrabets said in an interview to Radio Svaboda.
