Miron congratulates Belarusians on Constitution Day (Photo)

A national flag was hoisted in Vitsebsk.

A white-red-white flag was fluttering over a busy street near the railway viaduct, Maxim Gorky Street, in the industrial district of the city, Radio Svaboda informs.

As said by a Vitsebsk oppositionist Barys Khamajda, a note with the following text was attached to the flag:

“The legitimate Constitution of 1994 was a guarantor of our independence. An anti-constitutional coup in November 1996 was a diabolic preparation for Belarus’ Anschluss. Before it's too late, we should unite all Belarusian forces under a flag of the legitimate Constitution of 1994. Miron.”
