Travel banned Yanchuk also “evades draft”

A Belsat journalist, Mikhail Yanchuk, received a notice from the Citizenship and Migration Office of the Maskouski district of Brest.
According to the notice, Yanchuk was banned from leaving Belarus on the ground of the appeal from the Ministry of Defence of March 5 saying he “evades draft for army or military reserve service”.
“I spent 30 minutes in the military enlistment office and military commissioner Sizhuk told me I was not on their data base,” Yanchuk told the BAJ press service. “According to the military commissioner, there were any restrictions on leaving the country from the Ministry of Defence on March 5.”
The service age of Mikhail Yanchuk, 39, expired 12 years ago. He has not received any summonses for reserve training. He says he will figure out who put his name on the list of draft dodgers and on what grounds it was done.
On March 15, official representative of Belsat TV win Minsk, Mikhail Yanchuk, was banned from leaving Belarus. He got an “exit denied” stamp in his passport.
